The short version
- Everything you enter in Quick Check In Out is stored only on your device.
- Iconic Apps does not collect, receive, store or sell any personal information through the app.
- There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Information leaves the device only if you export or share it, or through your device's own backups.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Quick Check In Out mobile application (the "App") handles information. The App is made by Iconic Apps LLC ("Iconic Apps", "we", "us" or "our") and is provided free of charge. It applies to the App on iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Who uses the App
The App is designed for daycares, preschools, before- and after-school programs and other childcare providers (each a "Provider") to record when children are checked in and checked out. Typically a Provider installs the App on its own device, staff manage it, and parents or guardians use it to sign their child in and out.
The App is a tool used by adults. It is not directed at children, and children are not expected to use it themselves.
Information stored in the App
The App stores the following information on the device where it is installed:

This information is entered by the Provider and by parents or guardians. The Provider decides what to record and is responsible for it.
Where your information is stored
All of the information above is stored locally, in the App's private storage on your device. The App does not have user accounts and does not send this information to Iconic Apps or to any server. We cannot see, access, recover or delete the information in your App.
Information we collect
Iconic Apps does not collect any personal information through the App. The App does not contain advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking tools, and it does not use cookies. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Apple and Google may collect information about app downloads and usage when you use their app stores and devices. That is governed by their own privacy policies.
Device permissions
- Camera is used only when an admin chooses to take a child's profile photo.
- Photo library is used only when an admin chooses an existing photo as a child's profile photo. The selected photo is copied into the App's private storage. The App does not otherwise read your photo library.
Both permissions are optional. You can decline them, or change them later in your device settings, and still use the rest of the App.
Exporting and sharing
Admins can export a daily attendance log as a PDF, which includes children's names, check-in and check-out times and parents' signatures. The PDF can be printed or shared using your device's standard print and share options. Once you share or print a report, the copy is outside the App and handled by whatever service or person you send it to. Please share reports only with people who are authorized to see them.
Information visible on the device
Because the App is often used on a shared device, Providers control what parents can see. If the Provider turns on "Show history to parents", anyone using the check-in screen can view a child's recent check-ins and check-outs for the period the Provider selects. Admin features are protected by the admin PIN.
Device backups
If backups are turned on for your device (for example iCloud Backup, a computer backup, or Google's Android backup), the App's data may be included in those backups. Backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies, not by Iconic Apps.
Keeping information and deleting it
Information stays on the device until it is removed. Admins can edit child details, remove profile photos, edit or delete attendance entries, and mark children as inactive. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all of its data from the device. Uninstalling does not delete exported PDFs or copies in device backups, which you'll need to delete separately.
Security
The App's data is kept in the App's private storage, which your device's operating system protects from other apps. The admin PIN restricts access to settings and records within the App, but it is not encryption. Providers are responsible for keeping their devices secure, for example by using a device passcode, keeping the operating system up to date, and controlling who can use the device.
Children's privacy
The App stores information about children, entered by the Provider and by parents or guardians. Iconic Apps does not collect personal information from children, or from anyone, through the App.
Providers are responsible for obtaining any notices or consents required from parents or guardians, and for complying with the laws and licensing rules that apply to the records they keep.
Your rights and choices
Because Iconic Apps does not hold any of the information stored in the App, we cannot access, correct or delete it for you. If you are a parent or guardian and want to see, correct or remove information about your child, please contact your childcare Provider, who manages the device and the App.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act. Iconic Apps does not sell or share personal information, and does not collect any personal information through the App.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App's features change. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date below. If we ever change the App so that it collects or sends information, we will update this policy before that change takes effect.
